The Sarnia-Point Edward region hugs the St. Clair River where it joins Lake Huron, across from Port Huron, Michigan. It is home to numerous recreation facilities, spectacular waterfront parks, a casino and a harness racing/slots operation. It also includes a major sports/entertainment centre, several family fun attractions, numerous golf courses and a theatre.
The St. Clair Parkway extends south from the Blue Water Bridge to the northern shore of Lake St. Clair. All along the river are waterfront parks, intimate shopping communities and recreation facilities. There are also two international car ferry crossing points at Marine City-Sombra and Algonac-Walpole Island.
